Timmie Lee Wittman of Tulare, beloved brother, son and uncle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family in the early morning hours of his 72nd birthday on February 26, 2022. Timmie was born on the same day in 1950 to John and Thelma (McFarlin) Wittman in Tulare. Timmie will be remembered for his infectious smile and happy soul. His child like spirit was loved by all who knew him. He did not lack the classic Wittman charm, especially during his recent hospitalizations where his flirtatious smile captured the heart of his many nurses. Timmie loved going places and we are grateful for the many trips taken to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm where he had so much fun. His favorite ride was the swings where he would put his arms out to fly. He’s free to fly now with his angelic wings.
Timmie is survived by his brother and primary caretaker Raymond Wittman and wife Joyce (Nellie); brother Douglas Wittman and wife Kathy of Tulare; brother Bobby Wittman and wife Retha of Tryon, OK; brother Benny Wittman and wife Sharon of Agra, OK. Timmie was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Johnny, Virgil, Ronnie, Jerry, Kenneth and sisters Geraldine Corter and Loretta Wittman along with many nieces and nephews in California, Oklahoma and Texas.
The family would like to thank the various staff members and departments of Kaweah Health for their caring support to Timmie and family over the past year. Special thanks and gratitude to the staff of 4North, Endoscopy, Kaweah Health Hospice, Ed Largoza RN, Dr. Stephen Smith, Dr. Michael Tedaldi, Dr. April Manalaysa and Dr. Bahman Falakassa for their compassionate care during the past month.
Timmie will be interred next to his mother and father in Tulare, California at a later date. No public services or viewing will be held. Final preparations entrusted to Sterling and Smith Funeral Home in Tulare.
