Susan Nanette Avila

Susan Nannette Avila was born on August 31, 1960 in Fowler, California and took her last breath on April 28, 2024 at the age of 63.

Growing up on the walnut orchard on Saginaw Ave, Susan enjoyed the peaceful living of being out in the country. 

 In 1981, Susan married the love of her life, Jessie Avila and together they started their little family.  They had one daughter, Shawna Gail Avila.  After Jessie’s passing in 2017, Shawna took care of her mom until the very end. 

Susan was a loving and caring person, easy to talk to, and always found a way to make you laugh.  She would see the good in people and found a positive in every negative situation.  Susan enjoyed drawing, coloring and crafting, spending time with Family and Friends, but her greatest joy in life, was being with her daughter Shawna.  

Susan and Shawna were two peas in a pod, always together, and that’s just how Susan loved it.   Susan will always be remembered for her unconditional love and affection she showed everyone.  She would welcome you with open arms and before you left, you would hear her say “I love you” 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Avila, and Her Parents, Bob & Maxine Knight.

 She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her only Daughter, Shawna Gail Avila, her Brothers, Keith (Terry) Knight of Georgia and Dennis (Kathy) Knight of Merced, Her In Laws, Tani Avila, Bernardo Avila,  Ruben (Angie) Avila, Tina Marquez along with her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends that she called Family.
