Stanley Dewayne Odums

On August 8, 1952 Stanley Odums was born to Rueben Odums and Vera Johnson of Tulare, California. As a child he attended elementary school in Tulare and graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1970. He attended college on a basketball scholarship.

He moved to Reno for a few years; Then he moved back to Tulare. He received the Holy Ghost while attending Living Christ Church. He work at several jobs, while enjoying working on cars as a shade tree mechanic. Stanley loved life and family was important to him.

During his life he fathered three children, two boys (Dwayne Odums and Kenny Odums) and one girl (Ruslund Odums). He was dad to five other children, one boy, Tyler Hay and four girls (Kawana and Nikki Williams, Meagan Woods and Sierra Castro).

He is preceded in death by his mother Vera and his father Rueben; brothers, Maurice Odums and Richard Edwards; and his sister Lynda Odums-Marks and daughter Meagan Woods.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Tammy Odums, his children, his brothers, Wilbert Street, Dennis Odums ( Palms Springs, CA) Myron Odums (Santa Ana, CA) Rueben Odums (Rialto, CA) Lawrence Edwards (Riverside, CA) and Michael Edwards (Alta Loma, CA) and the girls: Melvine Odums (Sacramento, CA) Deborah Odums-Coleman (Tulare, CA) Jacquelyn Odums-Burnett (Rialto, CA) Dawn Odums (Florida) and Anita Odums-Fuller (Las Vegas, Nevada) and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
