Socorro Sandoval, 88, of Tulare, California, entered eternal rest on November 30, 2020. Socorro was born on June 27, 1932, in Socorro, Texas to Jose Ramos and Josefa Frias. Socorro was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and “Grandma Cora” to her grandchildren. She spent her life as a farm laborer, homemaker, and caretaker. Socorro was a God-fearing woman who was devoted to prayer and her family was the center of her being. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Posito with family around the table enjoying laughter, coffee, pan dulce, and their company.
Socorro is survived by her sisters, Beatrice Ramos Guerrero of Tulare, and Alicia Aguilar of Tulare. She is survived by her children, Lucila and Ernie Beltran of Tulare; Ricardo and Mary Sandoval of Tulare; Jesse and Perla Sandoval of Texas; Jany and Mike Peña of Tulare; son-in-law, Ricardo (Rick) Silva of Tulare; and, daughter-in-law, Elvira Sandoval of Visalia. She leaves behind her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will miss their Grandma Cora greatly.
Socorro is preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo Sandoval; her five (5) children, Martha, Socorro, Antonio, Alfreda (Silva), and Gilbert Sandoval; her grandchildren, Mary Jesse Lopez (Maria), and Love Muñoz; her parents, Jose and Josefa Ramos; and siblings, Josefina, Gabriel, Manuel, Jesus, Juan, Carolina, and Carlos Ramos.
A small gathering and memorial will be planned at a later date.
