Our Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Godfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend left this earth peacefully on December 11, 2020, in Fresno, CA, at the age of 65. Ramon was born into a hard working family and was raised in Fresno’s China Town District where he learned the values of perseverance and responsibility alongside his brother and sister. Ramon attended Columbia Elementary, Irwin Junior High, and Edison High School in West Fresno. He excelled in football and loved to express his creativity by working on bicycles, cars, and making furniture. Ramon was a die hard Raider fan and fisherman, and always looked forward to barbecuing with family and friends.
Ramon will be remembered for his devotion to family, generosity, and sense of humor. He taught his children, nieces, and nephews to always be accountable for their actions, be forgiving, and to not hold grudges. Ramon was always filled with joy and made everyone around him feel welcomed and cared for. His home was always open to anyone needing a place to eat, sleep, or watch the Raiders game. He will be deeply missed by all of his loved ones.
Ramon is survived by his wife Irma Franco, children Elizabeth Silva and husband Omar, Antonio Franco, Ernesto Franco, Alyna Franco, grandchildren Leo, Max, and Ellie Silva, and godchildren Maritza Perez, Marcos Perez, and Sofia Vargas. He is proceeded in death by his parents Leo Franco and Maria Torres Franco, aunt Otilia Torres, and best friend Joe Diaz.
