“Even when I am old and gray, O
God, do not abandon me. Let me tell
the next generation about your
power.” Psalms 71:18. That was the
desire of Ralph Edward Thompson,
aged 91, who passed away
peacefully on Friday, October 16,
2020 at Grace Home Kare in Clovis,
CA. Ralph was originally from New
York City, born there on June 9, 1929
at Harlem Hospital. He lived in New
York and Delaware for most of his life
and the last 25 years in Fresno, CA.
He was a member of the New Castle
Delaware and later Woodward Park
Congregation of Jehovah's
Witnesses. A devoted servant of
Jehovah, he was baptized on
November 28, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY.
Ralph was a firm believer in
Jehovah's Kingdom message and the
resurrection hope for the dead. He
loyally preached this message
regularly and with boldness. Ralph
looked forward to the paradise earth
described in Psalms 37:29 where he
could be with his family and enjoy life
with no pain, death or suffering. He
was preceded in death by Ann, his
wife of more than 60 years who
passed away in 2018; his parents,
Alfred and Lillian Thompson of
Harlem, NY; and his sisters, Susan
and Agnes, also of New York. Ralph
is survived by his children Sandy,
Richard, Dino, Linda, and Russell; 12
grandchildren as well as great and
great-great grandchildren.
