She was our firecracker, Maria, fierce and bright,

A spark of courage, a guiding light.

In our childhood where shadows crept,

She faced the fears while others slept.

Days of laughter in summer’s days,

Adventures shared in every place.

With eyes of fire and spirit bright,

She turned darkness into light

Now the silence echoes deep,

A profound sadness, in my heart I keep.

Gone is the laughter, the voice of cheer,

She left our hearts a void, forever here

Yet in my memories, she still fights,

A guardian angel in the quiet nights.

Her daughter Evelette, part of her light,

In her families care, she’ll flourish bright.

Her child, a piece of her grace,

Will be cherished, loved, in every place.

Our firecracker’s spirit, fierce and true,

Lives on in us, in all we do.
