Leonor Herrera

Leonor Herrera passed away peacefully November 7, 2020. She was born on April 11, 1938 In Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico.
Mother to her only son Jorge (George) Herrera and his wife Shanelle, and Grandmother to her Grandbabies, Cristian & Isabella. She loved to have them around her and enjoyed giving Cristian wheelchair rides and holding Isabella.
She loved to cook, loved her flowers, especially her house plants and her roses!
She was the youngest of 6 siblings. She left Mexico for the United States approximately 50 years ago with friends to work. She worked as a caretaker for her close friends children and considered them family. She loved to be there for help for whomever she was able to help within her means. She worked in Farm Labor for many years and eventually retired due to health issues and issues with her eyesight. She settled down and made Tulare her home in the 70’s.
She was a loving caring mother and grandmother that provided all she could and will never be forgotten. She was a caretaker who impacted not only her sons life, but the kids whom she cared for over the course of her lifetime.
Visitation will be held from 12pm-2pm on Thursday November 19, 2020 with the Rosary immediately following from 2pm-3pm at the Sterling and Smith Funeral Home Located at 409 N K St, Tulare, CA 93274.
Funeral Services will follow on Friday November 20, 2020 at 10:30 am at the Sterling and Smith Funeral Home Located at 409 N K St, Tulare, CA 93274 with Burial to follow at 11:30am at the North Tulare Public Cemetery located at 4572 J St, Tulare, CA 93274.
