Joe Edward Nolen, Sr.

Joe Edward Nolen Sr. to many known as Bubu was born December 26, 1958 to the union of Claudell and Winnie Lee Nolen in Bakersfield California. Joe Nolen was raised in Delano California, where he attended Delano High School in the 70’s and worked with his grandfather Johnny Nolen on the farm. Joe moved to Tulare California in 1979 and met Shirley Pace and started working for Melvin Hickman. Joe and Shirley married in 1992 and to this union, six children were born; 2 sons and 4 daughters. Joe Nolen dedicated his life to his wife and 6 children. One of Joe’s favorite interests was detailing cars. After 21 years of marriage Joe and Shirley departed ways and he then met Cheryl McGee.
He preceded in death at the age of 63, with his father and mother Claudell and Winnie Lee Nolen and 2 brothers David and Larry Nolen all from Delano California.
Joe Edward Nolen Sr. leaves to cherish behind his 6 children, TashaNeka Nolen from Tulare California, Joe Nolen Jr. from Tulare California, Tyraesha Nolen from Tulare California, Ronshaye Donald from Tulare California, Traneda Nolen from Tulare California and David Nolen from Tulare California and 11 grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his 3 brothers Johnny B Nolen from Sacramento California, Claudell Nolen from Sacramento California, Anthony Nolen from Tulare California and his only sister Elsa Mckinney from Tulare California. His 2 sister-in-law’s Sandra Nolen and Christine Nolen, his brother-in-law Vance Mckinney and his only aunt Aline Owens from Compton California and a host of family and friends.
