Jerry Lynn Sullivan, affectionately known as "Mr. Wonderful" passed away peacefully at his home at Wahtoke Lake in Reedley Calif. on Thursday September 26, 2024, surrounded by his lovely wife and lovely family and friends. He was 83. Born on August 11, 1941, in Modesto, California, Jerry dedicated his life to teaching, serving as a beloved educator at Atwater High School for 36 years. His students fondly remebered him as "Mr Wonderful" for his passion and expertise in teaching Arts & Crafts, Wood Shop, and Architecture Drafting. Jerry's entrepreneurial spirit also led him to establish Shamrock S. Pollination Inc., a renowned beekeeping company in Atwater, California. Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Sullivan; sister, Linda Peterson, sons; Marty Machado, Shad Sullivan, William Stafford, Daughter; Lacey McAvan, and Sonya Flores; grandsons, Ray Dehart, Bradley Dehart, Anthony Flores, Ralph Flores, Elijah Flores, Vincent, Stafford, Nathan Stafford; granddaughters, Alexis Sullivan, Samantha Sullivan, Avreyl Flores, Brianah Stafford, and many great grandchildren and loving students and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Sullivan, and his parents, Grady and Roxey Sullivan.

A passionate outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed teaching free Hunters Safety Classes to the Atwater community from 1972 to 1978 and leading woodshop night classes. He was an active member of the Atwater Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and California Waterfowl Association. Jessy's true joys were hunting and fishing, particularly duck and goose hunting in Atwater's rice fields. He cherished memories of hunting with his sons and father-in-law, Floyd Miller, and training his loyal Labrador companions. As a Beekeeper, Jerry shared his expertise with others, growing his hobby into a thriving business. He and his wife, Karen, spent idyllic summers at Big Meadows in the Swquoia National Forest, surrounded by nature and their loyal Labrador.

Jerry will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, and willingness to help others. His legacy as "Mr. Wonderful" will live on through the countless lives he touched. The viewing for Jerry will be held on October 17th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home, at 139 w. Mariposa St., At, Dinuba, CA. The burial for Jerry will be held on October 17th, 2024 at Reedley Cemetery at 1:30 pm. There will be six pallbearers, Shad Sullivan, Martin Strauss, Vincent Stafford, Ray Dehart, Bradley Dejart, and Anthony Flores.
