James John Romo, Sr.

James John Romo, Sr., affectionately known as Jaime or Baby James, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Fresno, CA, at the age of 50. Born on April 12, 1974, in Dinuba, CA, James's life was marked by his generous spirit and infectious humor. James was a man whose personality was as large as his stature. Known for his humor, he could light up any room with his laughter and jokes. Beyond his jovial exterior was a profoundly generous individual who never hesitated to help others, often putting the needs of others before his own. His heart of gold made him a beloved figure among all who knew him.  A loving husband to Catina Romo, a cherished son to John and Irene Romo, and a devoted father to his children, Thomas, Sarah, James Jr., Matthew, Terrell, and Daniel, James's family was the center of his world. He was also a proud grandfather to Jackson and Jameson. His brothers, Richard, Porfirio, and Johnny, along with his sister Rayna, shared many fond memories of James. His extended family, including his in-laws Jesse and Rose Blanco, brother in law Anthony and Oriana Blanco, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, will deeply miss his presence. James had a passion for the outdoors, often found camping and fishing, which allowed him to enjoy nature's tranquility and beauty. An excellent cook, he was famous for his stir fry, egg rolls, and cream puffs, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations. 

A Memorial Mass will be held on September 17, 2024 at St. Catherine's Church, 356 N Villa, Dinuba, CA 93618, at 10:00 a.m. Following the mass, James will be laid to rest at Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Rd 100, Dinuba, CA 93618. Attendees are invited to gather for a luncheon at the church parish hall to celebrate James's life and legacy. James's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring strength of familial bonds. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those he touched.
