On Friday, October 14, 2022, Donna Kay (Nunn) Basinger, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away. She was seventy-five. Born to Maud Ethel Russell and Paul James Nunn, Donna attended Fresno High School and lived in Fresno, California all her life. Donna worked at the Internal Revenue Service as a home health aide. Donna married Chuck Basinger and they were together until his death in 2012. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, and her son Jerald. Donna is survived by her sisters, Geraldine Alice Mullins, Marilyn Poe, Kathryn Cane and her brother Paul Nunn, her daughter Tamara Ogilvie and her son-in-law Scott, her grandchildren Shane Pearson, his wife Courtney, grandson Ben and granddaughters Erika and Emily.
She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Liam, Greyson, Nolan and McKayla. Her friend Linda was Donna’s long time friend.
Donna was a kind, compassionate woman who loved researching all kinds of subjects and she loved debating these subjects because she believed so fiercely in what she studied. Donna was protective of her family and deeply loved us all. She was intelligent and didn’t let many things bother her unnecessarily. She had a calmness about her that not many have. Donna will be forever missed and deeply loved by her family.
