Clara Mae Beavers

Clara Mae Beavers was born July 20 1932 in Tulare, California to Thomas W. and Roxie Walker. The family lived in Pixley, California where she received her early education at Pixley Elementary School. After the passing of her father the family moved to Corcoran, California where Clara and her brothers were raised by her mother and stepfather, George W. Goree. She graduated from Corcoran High School.

In 1963, Clara started working for Tulare County Schools as a bus driver in Pixley, Tipton and Oak Valley School in Tulare before retiring in 2009. It was a job she really loved and remembered countless number of children even after they became adults. Clara and her late husband, Jeremiah, were well respected in their community.

Clara Mae leaves to cherish her home going, her six sons, Rodney (Marie) of Rialto, CA, Rena (Trish) of Simi Valley, CA, Robert (Roxy), Charles, Gary (Terricka) of Tulare, CA and Stephen (Rebecca) of Visalia, CA; three very special nieces (the daughters she never had) Ruth, Annie and Elorise; godson, Rev. Frank Wilson Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Ervin Beavers (Ann) of Fresno, CA and Rain June Beavers (Stressla) of Portland, OR; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She will be truly missed by all that knew her.

Visitation will be held June 21st at 2:00 pm -5:00 pm at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home, 409 N.K Street, Tulare. A viewing will be held June 22nd at 9:00 am to 10:00 am with service beginning at 10:00 am at Living Christ Church. 2516 N. M Street, Tulare.
