It is with great sadness that her family announced the passing of Arlene Kay Allen on January 21, 2022 at Clovis Community Hospital. She was born on September 16, 1952 in Fresno to Patricia and Charles B Hines Jr. She graduated from Bullard High in 1970 and received her accounting degree from Fresno City College.
On January 27 1979 she married Gary Allen and moved to Firebaugh where she worked as an instructional aid from 1990 to 2013. She was known to many as Mrs. Allen and enjoyed working at the after school program for many years in the arts and crafts department. She had two daughters and was very involved in their extra curricular activities including band and parent teacher organizations. If she wasn’t making rice krispie treats for a school fundraiser, she was traveling with the band or attending the many sports games.
She loved seeing her Seattle Seahawks win, collecting anything Thomas Kinkade, watching corney romance shows and writing down countless recipes she always wanted to try.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles (Buddo) Hines. She is survived by her husband of almost 43 years, Gary Allen, daughter Amanda Mojabi (Allen), son in law Pouria, and two grandchildren Amelia Mae and Emmaline Rose whom she loved very much.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 26, 2022 10:30am at Sterling and Smith Funeral directors Fresno 1103 E st Fresno Ca 93706. A luncheon will follow in Clovis.
