Alfonso Munoz

Alfonso "Poncho" Munoz, 81, passed away in his sleep at home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in Tulare, California. He was born July 26, 1938 to Perfecto and Petra Munoz in General Teran Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Alfonso came to California in 1976, when he moved his family from Texas and worked as a farmer for many years. He was a family man who dedicated spending his time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed barbequing, going fishing and listening to music.

Survivors include his wife Dina of 24 years; his 4 sons, John Munoz of Selma, Albert Munoz of Mexico, Abraham Munoz of Fowler and Isaac Munoz of Tulare; his 6 daughters Lucy Munoz of Selma, Magda Cardenas of Fowler, Alma Munoz of Fowler, Julie Gonzalez of Fowler, Becky Munoz of Kingsburg and Diana Resendiz of Fowler; 28 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Juan Munoz and Martin Munoz of Texas; 3 sisters Eduvijes Rosales, Julia Rodriguez and Jovita Munoz all of Texas as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Perfecto and Petra Munoz, his son Alfonso "Ponchito" Munoz, his grandparents and 1 brother Lupe Munoz.

Alfonso was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
