Alberta Lee Luna

Alberta “Cuata” Lee Luna passed away on August 11, 2021. She was born on July 11, 1956 in Tulare, CA to Dora and Julian Nunez.

Alberta aka “Peaches” worked with the United Domestic workers Union for several years. She enjoyed playing BINGO and she loved collecting her free gift from the Tachi Palace on Tuesdays. She especially loved spending time with her great grandchildren and grandchildren.

Alberta was a widow preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto “Shorty” Luna, her father Julian Duran Nunez, her twin sister Roberta Nunez and sisters, Rena Florez and Maria Rangel, her brothers, Felipe Rangel and Tommy Hurtado.

Alberta is survived by her two daughters, Corina Hendrix and her husband Delano, of Tulare; Ester Garcia and her husband Michael of Tulare; and her son Javier Nunez and fiancé Sonia of Tulare; her mother Dora Rangel of Tulare; three sisters, Flora Nunez Ramirez of Tulare, Felicidad Rangel of Visalia and Leticia Rangel of Tulare; three brothers, Julian Duran Nunez, Jr. of San Diego, Sergio Rangel of Sunnyvale and Jesse Flores of Tulare; two great grandchildren, eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that referred to her as Grama “Tia” Berta.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the T.D.E.S. Hall in Tulare. Reception to immediately follow
